Luis Beires Fernandes is a Portuguese storyteller.
After successfully publishing two books, Luis began writing scripts (shorts & feature), based in contemporary and original ideas.
Graduated from NYFA in Screenwriting in 2015, at the age of 38, Luis has been working with professionals in Brazil the US and Portugal since then.
I’m Tellin’Ya!, a short he co-wrote (starring Walter Grassl) is currently in post-production, in the US. It will premiere next Jan 25th.
His shorts Loop and Steps are currently in pre-production in Brazil.
#aliver, previously called The Bernstein Effect, is his first feature film screenplay and has been awarded the Bronze Award at the Mindfield Film Festival as well as Selected for the Verge Film Festival and Semi-Finalist at the LA Cinefest.
Recently, “Hoje Não” (Not Today) a videoclip he wrote for the internationally acclaimed Portuguese singer Maria Ana Bobone, was aired.
As a Business Developer, Luis’ “official” job, he has worked in Portugal and Brazil, in many different markets such as Events, Tourism, Contemporary Arts, Wine Making, Lighting or Mining.
MBA in Marketing & Social Responsibility, Luis has been invited to Universities around the world and conferences to speak about Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Leadership and (Positive) Ambition.
Married and father of one, Luis divides his time between Brazil, Portugal and the US.
